Vancouver Creekside Glamour
Vancouver’s waterfront properties boast some of the best views in the world, but many older condos are dated on the inside and could use a refresh. The owners of our Creekside Glamour loved the view from their condo, but the interior needed a lot of TLC. It hadn’t been renovated since being built in 1986!
White Cabinets, Glass Inserts: Brightening the Kitchen
Due to space limitations in this Vancouver condo renovation, we kept the existing kitchen footprint and focused on improving storage space and functionality.
The original kitchen felt quite cramped with full floor-to-ceiling cabinets. The kitchen had dark wood cabinets and green marble counter tops, which made the space seem more dark.
We replaced the cabinets with white shaker-style doors and installed a white/grey quartz granite counter tops that seamlessly matched the new back splash.
To open up the kitchen without losing storage, we replaced some wood doors in some upper cabinets with clear glass to create a display space. The lighter colours and glass created a lighter space.
We reconfigured the kitchen lighting to provide the perfect amount of light for food prep, eating, and socializing.
A trendy appliance garage in the corner conceals small appliances from view. We also installed a small TV on a drop-down lift concealed within the upper cabinet over the peninsula.

Other Highlights of this Vancouver Condo Renovation
There are many other unique, stunning features in this project.
For starters, we installed a floor-to-ceiling wine rack with a very generous amount of wine storage! The rack is behind floor-to-ceiling glass doors to help keep the wine at a more consistent temperature to avoid spoiling.
In the en-suite, porcelain “Calcatta” classic marble-look tiles line the floor and walls for a timeless look and add a touch of glam. The oversized, decadent mirror floats above the vanity to show off the delicate white back splash tile behind the sink.
The main living spaces have been given a lighter consistent colour scheme in lighter grays and whites to brighten up the once darker spaces, and the continuous herringbone-patterned floors, with radiant heat, provide functional and beautiful flow between the spaces. If your downtown condo needs a new modern, elegant renovation, call the team at My House Design/Build Team today to book a complimentary consultation.
